Prior to co-founding the Calta Group, Ignazio and Gaetano lead all aspects of development and construction for the Caltagirone Family Office, managing a portfolio of residential, office, hospitality and mixed-use projects. After joining the company, Ignazio and Gaetano grew the family Office into one of Europe’s most prolific development companies, with numerous flagship properties throughout Europe.

Ignazio and Gaetano were considered innovators within their Family Office, who constantly explored new construction methods, crafting new features to enhance the resident and guest experience, and seeking to make each new ventures more successful than the last. This philosophy led to the development of several unique projects such as the Hilton Molino Stucky, a $140-million development project with more that 400 rooms, 25 apartments and convention center in Venice, Italy.

All their development projects are regarded as best-in-class assets, evidenced by achieving top-dollar ADRs, rents and record-breaking exit prices.

Under Iganzio and Gaetano’s leadership, the Family Office delivered over 3000 residential units, 1-million square feet of office space,1500 hotel units and the largest marina in the Mediterranean.
